The keels on both sides of the body naturally create a jumping darting action similar to that of baitfish simply by setting the hook, making this a stick bait that easily switches on the predatory instincts of bass.
When used without a sinker, it creates a jumping darting action that resembles the way baitfish flee to the surface of the water, occasionally jumping out of the water with force. Even when used in the bottom range with a split shot or Carolina rig, if you notice a bass and act like it is jumping up from the bottom and hiding, the Sakamata Shad will demonstrate its performance and easily lead to a bite.
